We had the most amazing stay in Haarlem, just outside Amsterdam. Haarlem is such a beautiful, peaceful place with so much character – loads of lovely bars and restaurants, a really relaxed atmosphere, and only about 15 minutes from central Amsterdam by train, which made it the perfect base for our trip.
Susan’s place itself was absolutely perfect. The decor was gorgeous and felt really stylish and homely at the same time. Everything was spotless and clearly well thought out. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable – we slept so well every night!
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would totally recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We’d definitely stay again!
Communication with Susan was excellent and made the whole process so easy. Plus her recommendations for bars and restaurants in Haarlem were brilliant!! Make sure you go to the Mexican restaurant! It was superb 👌

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse, aber trotzdem nahe zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Shopping Möglichkeiten.
Das Loft im Dachgeschoss ist liebevoll und mit Humor ausgestattet. Es wurde an alles gedacht, es hat zwar keine Küche, aber Geschirr, Besteck, Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher, sowie ein kleiner Kühlschrank sind vorhanden.
Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmsten weiterempfehlen.

liebe Susan,
dein freundliches und zugewandtes Wesen passt genau zur Unterkunft. . .diese ist mit so viel liebe und Herzblut restauriert worden und strahlt soviel Wärme aus. . . wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt, und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. . . Haarlem an sich ist so ein toller Ort und die Menschen so freundlich. . . ruckzuck waren wir zu Fuß am Bahnhof, und genau do schnell direkt in der City Amsterdam. . . vielen lieben Dank für alles 🫶

We were so lucky to stumble upon this beautiful apartment! We urgently needed a new place on the same day because the one we originally booked wasn’t ready for our arrivals. Chet, Marianne, and Guido were amazing—they responded super quickly, and we were able to book and settle in that very day. The apartment was spotless and really comfortable, with everything we needed and then and more. Two little bottles of Prosecco was such a thoughtful surprise. Marianne, who we met the next day, was incredibly kind and let us store our bags in the hallway while we spent some extra time exploring Harlem before our flight. Overall, great hosts, a cozy and clean apartment, and top-notch communication. We highly recommend staying here!
